SG HEART MAP RED DOT RACE

The Red Dot Race brings together 22 teams of about 100 people on an amazing quest in and around the S’pore Discovery Centre (SDC) and Army Museum to compete for nearly $3,000 worth of cash and prizes.

The fastest team to clear all 10 uniquely Singaporean challenges (see below) and cross the finishing line will be crowned Singapore’s first ever Red Dot Race Grand Champions! Each challenge has been specially curated to feature an endearing Heart Map place, or an activity idiosyncratic to Singaporeans.

RDR GAME STATIONS


STATION 1 - AERO ARTISTES

Contestants are to take a jumpshot showcasing Future City Vision art works created by Mr Michael Ng and 100 talented school children.

STATION 2 - SOUNDS OF SINGAPORE

Contestants will have to relive their academic years and put their listening comprehension skills to the test once more, as they take a listen to Mr Zul Mahmod's heart-warming SonicMemories sound exhibits and answer a trivia question based on the exhibit.

STATION 3 - STAND-BY BED

Baris! Sedia! Ah yes, there comes a time in every young man’s life where he has to put on his kilat uniform and answer the call of the military. But before proving his worth on the battlefield, he must prove capable of taking care of his personal bunk first! Better tidy up those beds or its extra Guard Duty for the whole lot of you!

STATION 4 - KATONG FLAVOURS

Something is definitely cooking in Auntie Neo's kitchen! How well do you know your herbs and spices? Well, let’s hope our contestants are expert cooks themselves, because it’ll definitely help them identify the ingredients needed by Auntie Neo for this station!

STATION 5 - SINGAPORE ZOO HUNT

Nine-time winner of the coveted Best Leisure Attraction Experience award by the Singapore Tourism Board, the Singapore Zoo certainly deserves pride of place as one of Singapore’s beloved attractions. Home to also more than 300 species of animals, this station will surely put the teams’ knowledge on wildlife to the test. Can they find our elusive lion mascot around SDC?

STATION 6 - SENTOSA SKETCHES

Ahhh.. all the pleasant memories with our loved ones at this popular family destination. Sentiments aside, let’s put these memories to the test; it’s time for Pictionary: Sentosa Edition, as teams strive to guess pictures of iconic Sentosa attractions drawn by their team mates.

STATION 7 - ARTS & CULTURES

Singapore, being the melting pot of many cultures and races, is where we can always learn something new from our neighbours. But how well do you know each culture? Let’s show it through your artistic side, as contestants create traditional Chinese characters cuttings, a Malay ketupat weave and paint an Indian tea light.

STATION 8 - ORCHARD ROAD GLAM

Through all the hustle and bustle of the city, there’s always time to pamper ourselves with a little bit of shopping - but now it’s time to see if all that shopping was worth the money! Calling all shopaholics and fashionistas across the island, get ready to strut your stuff down the catwalk, and show them what you’ve got! Contestants will need to accessorise themselves to resemble our supermodels on show.

STATION 9 - SINGAPORE SPORTS HUB OLYMPICS

Do you have what it takes to be the next Olympics table tennis champ? New table tennis legends will arise today... On the Xbox as teams compete against each other!

STATION 10 - SG MAP @ SAFTI LAKE

Teams must race to the SG Heart Map at the Lake to reveal 1 of the 50 Heart Map places, which were selected from some 85,000 submissions under the SG Heart Map project detailing memories and places special to Singaporeans.
